is a narrowly endemic species restricted to a very small area in Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, rare in habitat and cultivation.
It is a solitary globular to shortly columnar cactus, easily clustering if grafted. Stem reaching 20 cm by 10 cm in size, apex slightly woolly.Very nice magenta flowers are 1-3 cm Ø.It is a rather tricky to grow on own roots as it takes several years to reach several millimetres and it is often grafted to enhance growth speed.
Water regularly during the growing season and use a very draining potting substrate. The plant prefer partial shade. Keep dry in winter.You will receive a grafted plant, as pictured, in a 3X3 cm cell.
